The drought of 2026 gave us a opportunity to work areas of KF that we previously could not access. We brought in equipment to chop up the overgrowth and to mulch the tamarisk.

After three years of working the phragmites in the parking lot. We got the permissions to fill in the old open ditch. The next weekend we placed marker poles along the channel way for navigation safety. Our crew of volunteer planted 920 bulrush plugs, mowed phragmites and pulled an old abandoned duck blind. |
