We re-thatched all our existing boxes and install three new Wood Duck Boxes. In addition to all this we had the honor of installing the first goose box platform at ONC. We also want to thank Scott Blanch and Eagle Eye Cabinets for their adoption of a nest box.

Wasatch Wigeons placed several Wood Duck boxes at Kingfisher wetlands in Weber County and along the Bear River in Cache County. A long day, but well worth the effort. We even had time to finish up the flashboard riser.
,We installed the first ever water control device at Kingfisher wetlands. Mark Bingham fabricated this awesome flash board riser. Now that it's in, we can control the water height giving us more flexibility as we improve this unique wetland.
We toke out two of our countries Army Veterans, on duck hunt to remember. One Vet got his first duck and the other got a trophy Bufflehead he'd been pursuing for years. Each Vet will receive a video of their hunt by our good friends at Flying Leap Films.
We partnered with FFSL to remove the 20+ year old Willard Spur can opener. Many people said it could never be done. Challenges accepted.
This project was completed two weeks early and under budget by a dedicated crew of officers and volunteers. The spur is now safer for boat traffic and the old Lincoln Zephyr is now finally out of the wet land. Yes, I said Lincoln Zephyr. What was believed to be an upside down military jeep turned out to be an old Lincoln Zephyr. Its that time of year!! We will be going to Ogden Bay to re-thatch the boxes and nest we set up last year. We will be meeting in the parking lot at 7am and splitting up to get to all the nest.
The event starts at 10am - 4pm
